Milena Minja Bogavac (b. Belgrade, 1982) is a playwright, dramaturge, theater director, screenwriter, poet, activist and cultural worker. Creative director of the NGO Center E8 and director of the Reflector Theater, an independent theater that operates within this organization.

She graduated in dramaturgy at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. Her plays have been translated into numerous languages, included in anthologies of contemporary drama, performed in numerous Serbian and international theaters, and presented at relevant festivals.

She is the winner of the Sterija Award (2018 for the play “Jami District”); as well as the award: “Borislav Mihajlović-Mihiz” – for dramatic creation; “Josip Kulundzic” for “outstanding success in the field of theater”; two annual awards of the Little Theater “Dushko Radovic”; “Andjelka Milić Awards” for a work of art that uses feminist theories; “ProFemina” Awards for Public Advocacy for Women’s Rights; “The Good Example of New Optimism” Awards for Human Rights and Encouraging Youth Activism… and several others, for individual texts or performances at festivals, in the country and abroad.

From 2002, she works as a part of BITEF festival team. On BITEF festival, she received the Award “Poliphonic Author”, with four performances in the programme Bitef Poliphony. 

Regardless of her permanent engagement in Center E8 and Reflector theatre, she writes, directs and working as dramaturg, within various institutions or companies from the independent art scene in Serbia and region.
